All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ group's trip to Rwanda.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ educators and students visited a marketplace that sells goods made by marginalized women. Afterward, they watched a traditional dance troupe perform and were invited to dance with them.
The visitors from ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ are in Rwanda attending (held July 11-13), a global peace conference sponsored by ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s Board of Trustees approved ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s recruitment throughout Africa.
