Golden Eagles Men’s Basketball Earns First USCAA National Championship Tournament Bid

The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ at Tuscarawas Golden Eagles men’s basketball team will make their first appearance in the United ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµs College Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship Tournaments on Monday, March 7, at 8 p.m., at Virginia University in Richmond.

The Golden Eagles have secured the No. 9 overall seed in the USCAA Coaches Poll and will face Southwestern Adventist University of Dallas in tournament action.

ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ Tuscarawas is one of seven teams to receive an at-large bid and join three automatic qualifiers from the Penn ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ University Athletic Conference, the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Yankee Small College Conference.

Tournament play begins March 7th at 6 p.m. in the 6100 seat Multi-Purpose Center at VSU. A first-round loss eliminates a team from championship contention, but all teams are guaranteed a minimum of two games in the tournament. Consolation brackets will match losing teams with the chance to play for third and fourth place overall.
