Quilts and Coverlets: Art for the American Home

“Quilts & Coverlets: Art for the American Home” and “Chintz: From Forbidden Fabric to Luxury Interiors” will be on view at the ӰƵ Museum from June 26, 2026, through April 18, 2027.

In commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, “Quilts & Coverlets: Art for the American Home” focuses on a distinctly American art form. Quilts and coverlets originated as functional pieces for keeping warm, but developed into important forms of expression and community. The exhibition will be presented alongside “Chintz: From Forbidden Fabric to Luxury Interiors,” a student-curated exhibition examining the global history and enduring influence of chintz textiles.
