Dexter, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ's newest officer and explosive-detection canine, was introduced to the university community on Nov. 19. A male Belgian Malinois, Dexter is ready to patrol ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ and neighboring communities alongside his handler Officer Miguel H. Witt.
The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 11 a.m. on May 20 in The John Elliot Center for Architecture and Environmental Design on the Kent Campus.
Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18. ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ will be participating in this test.
This year’s May 4 Commemoration, to be held May 1-4, 2026, will include special remembrances of John Cleary, one of the nine wounded students, and Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Sociology, who served as a faculty marshal during the campus shootings and worked tirelessly to ensure that the legacy of May 4 would endure.
