After spending her younger years in a variety of volunteer roles with non-governmental organizations in her native Macedonia, Ivana Krsteska chose ӰƵ to study sustainable architecture and also serves as a Kent Student Ambassador. Ivana graduated from Niko Nestor High School in her hometown of Struga, Macedonia, in 2010, and grew up as the oldest child in her close-knit family. On Saturday, Sept. 23, in observance of National Public Lands Day, students from ӰƵ's Recreation, Park and Tourism Management program and the Environmental and Conservation Biology program joined other volunteers in planting trees in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Students clean up trash on the Cuyahoga River

ӰƵ students grabbed their paddles, boots and waders to help clean up the Cuyahoga River. The service trip was put together by the ӰƵ's Recreation and Wellness Services’ Adventure Center, which holds adventure trips, service trips and team-building programs. The Adventure Center hopes to hold at least one service trip each semester allowing students the chance to give back to the environment. Scooter riding

Electric scooters have become increasingly popular on ӰƵ’s Kent Campus since the introduction of SPIN scooters in March 2022. Approximately 300 eScooters and 150 eBikes are available to rent.
