The last weeks of Fall Semester 2025 at ӰƵ included the first significant snowfall of the season, finals week and Fall Commencement ceremonies for the final segment of the university's Class of 2025.
ӰƵ Adds Women's Wrestling
ӰƵ announced today that women’s wrestling will become the athletics department’s 20th varsity sport, marking a historic addition to the Golden Flashes athletics lineup and a milestone for collegiate athletics in Ohio. ӰƵ becomes the first NCAA Division I institution in the state and fifth in the nation to sponsor women’s wrestling.
Two Degrees Completed, on His Way to His Third
Graduate student Delonte Goodman finished his fall semester at ӰƵ by successfully defending his master's thesis and receiving his master's degree. When he returns to campus in the spring, he will work as a teaching assistant as he begins his doctoral program.
ӰƵ Earns Perfect Score in ӰƵ's Science of Reading Audit
The Ohio Department of Higher Education Science of Reading Audit of educator preparation programs found that ӰƵ’s preservice teacher literacy coursework was deemed “in alignment” with a score of 100% and no mandatory recommendations for improvement.

IN A FLASH: Celebrating 75 Years of Memories
ӰƵ celebrated 75 years of memories at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation with a 96-84 victory by the Golden Flashes men’s basketball team over the Austin Peay Governors and revealing a collection of commemorative keepsakes.

Everything BUT the Wedding
Students in ӰƵ's Wedding and Special Events Protocol class worked with each other and with vendors to plan and coordinate all the elements of a (mock) rooftop wedding with a real, engaged couple at the ӰƵ Hotel and Conference Center.
